The Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City, Illinois can chalk up another win for The Carlisle Group as they welcome a second physical therapist to further service the residents of the rural community. The successful placement marks the second physical therapist provided to the facility, and the third placement in as many interviews. In the world of physician recruiting, that kind of consistent success is unheard of, much to the delight of Gibson Area Hospital CEO Rob Schmitt.

“I’ve been in this industry for a long time and have been burned more than a few firms before,” Says Schmitt, who at one point had to endure over 8 months working with a firm without a single lead. “The Carlisle Group provides my facility with the most consistent success I have ever experienced.”

At The Carlisle Group, it is just as important to find the right opportunity for healthcare providers as it is discerning the right candidate for the employer. Such was the case with Gibson City’s newest physical therapist that was looking for an opportunity within close proximity to Chicago, but with practically half the cost of living. The opportunity is also a fantastic learning experience for the newly minted physical therapist, as she will be working with other physical therapists with over ten years of experience.

Schmitt’s dedication and passion for his facility and community has also made the opportunities at Gibson Area Hospital irresistible for healthcare providers searching with The Carlisle Group. “He is extremely confident in what he has, that is why everyone who is interested in their opportunities take the jobs,” Said Search Manager John Collmer. “There are a thousand similar jobs out there, but they choose Gibson City because he says it is the best out there and truly, deep down, believes it.”

Gibson Area Hospital strives to deliver the best healthcare service possible, and three placements as a result of three interviews allow them to focus on their community. The Carlisle Group will continue to provide the facility with the highest quality and most efficient procurement in of the physician recruitment industry.

The Carlisle Group is a healthcare placement firm that offers a unique structure to clients seeking to attract healthcare professionals and physicians to their communities. Utilizing a variety of resources and strategic partnerships to determine viable searches nation-wide, The Carlisle Group is a rising star in the field of physician recruiting.

CareerPlug, a recruitment marketing firm, recently launched the latest version of its personalized recruiting campaign service for employers with high-volume recruiting needs. The company attributes the success of its email-based campaigns, which often produce response rates that are more than twice as high as the industry average, to its personalized recruiting microsites. These employer-branded websites, personalized to each handpicked candidate, allow top professionals to explore a specific career opportunity and, if it is a good fit for them, submit a brief form expressing their interest. With the new version of their service, CareerPlug will provide an even higher level of personalization by tailoring the message to each candidate based on his/her experiences.

“One of the challenges in high-volume recruiting is establishing a personal connection with candidates. CareerPlug’s recruiting microsites add a personalized touch to a recruitment email campaign that engages top candidates and differentiates the employer from its competition,”

said Clint Smith, founder and President of CareerPlug. “This certainly gives companies an advantage as they compete for top talent.”

CareerPlug has developed technology that analyzes candidate resumes and references their specific experiences as part of the recruitment message. If an employer was looking for sales candidates who have had a specific type of training (Solutions Selling, for example), CareerPlug would target these candidates with a specific message referencing their Solutions Selling experience. This level of personalization immediately engages candidates, particularly those who are a good fit for the opportunity.

The personalized microsite technology would not be nearly as effective without the front-end effort that CareerPlug puts into each of its campaigns. Unlike most recruitment marketing firms, CareerPlug handpicks each candidate to be included in a campaign based on predetermined criteria provided by the employer. This high level of flexibility and personalization has led employers, including both regional companies and Fortune 500 corporations, to rely on CareerPlug for their high-volume recruiting of sales and customer service professionals. In addition to the value of attracting qualified candidates for their open positions, CareerPlug has been able to save time for recruiting teams whose budgets and personnel have been stretched thin by internal cost-cutting measures.

“At a time like this, recruiting teams are looking for ways to do more with less,” said Smith. “Employers are receiving lots of applications, but the quality is generally low. CareerPlug offers employers a way to target and attract top talent for their open positions at a great value compared to traditional hiring resources.”

CareerPlug is currently offering a one-month trial for new clients to evaluate its services. Please visit http://www.careerplug.com for more details.

Employment Screening Resources (ESR), a leading U.S. background checking firm, announces the release of a 36-minute training DVD on how to avoid negligent hiring lawsuits. Presented dramatically, the viewer gets to see what a trial for a “Bad Hire” case is like so that they never have to really be hauled into court and face a jury trial that could result in a payout of millions of dollars.

The DVD of a negligent hiring trial, filmed in an actual Los Angeles courtroom, features opening statements, cross-examination of an HR professional, testimony from an expert witness, closing arguments, and jury instructions. The DVD even includes re-enactment of a crime as caught on a surveillance camera. Part of the training process is for viewers to act as jurors and to deliberate in order to reach a “verdict” based upon the DVD.

“Lawsuits for negligent hiring are among the fastest growing area of personal injury litigation today,” said Lester Rosen, an attorney and founder of Employment Screening Resources. ”This type of training may well help employers avoid multi-million dollar verdicts that can occur when a business fails to exercise due diligence by hiring someone with an unsuitable criminal record or false credentials.”

The DVD is available at http://www.backgroundchecktraining.com/, a new website sponsored by Employment Screening Resources that provides books, training courses, training DVD’s, and free resources on background checks. The companion book is the “Safe Hiring Audit,” by attorney Lester Rosen.

A preview of the video is available at: http://www.backgroundchecktraining.com/Safe-Hiring-Trial …

About Employment Screening Resources: Employment Screening Resources (ESR) (http://www.esrcheck.com ) combines human resources, public records, and legal expertise to provide employers with fast, accurate and cost-effective employment pre-screening nationwide. ESR’s mission is to bring professional consulting resources to an industry that largely focuses on providing data as a commodity. ESR specializes in criminal records, reference checking, drug testing, international backgrounds and legal compliance. From its national headquarter in Novato, California, ESR serves employers across the United States from start-ups to divisions of Fortune 500 companies through its state-of-the-art ESRnet Online System.
MBO Partners, the leading Independent Contractor Engagement Specialists (ICES), announced today a new revenue share program to assist staffing companies hit hard by the economic downturn.

MBO Partners, the leading provider of independent contractor compliance and engagement solutions, announced today that they are creating a new Staffing Alliance program to reach out to the troubled industry. The Alliance would empower approved staffing companies to use MBO Partners as an independent contractor engagement vehicle, allowing them to expand their scope of services and earn additional revenue.

“Having served independent consultants for more than 20 years, our solution is the perfect bridge between independent contractors and the businesses that need to work with them,” says Gene Zaino, President & CEO of MBO Partners. “Increasingly, talented consultants are finding their own work without intermediaries. Now, staffing suppliers can leverage MBO’s capabilities to engage this sector of the workforce that is growing even in this economic downturn, while helping their clients reduce cost and independent contractor risks. The staffing industry is suffering through a massive contraction, and they need new business models to capture additional revenue and position themselves to survive and thrive.”

MBO Partners uses a proprietary online accounting and payroll system, MyBizOffice™

, to enable independent contractors - including SOW consultants — to operate their own businesses inside MBO’s corporate infrastructure. The solution not only empowers sole proprietors and small businesses to operate efficiently and take advantage of big company benefits, but it also ensures that contractor classification and tax compliance regulations are upheld.

Through the Alliance, staffing companies will be able to deliver MBO’s proven compliance results to their clients. “Organizations using MBO Partners are able to capture 11% more contingent labor spend inside their program than organizations not using MBO, according to the research performed for the Aberdeen 2009 Contract Labor Study,” said Chris Dwyer, Aberdeen Group. “They are also driving an independent contractor compliance rate that is 30% higher than the average enterprise.”

On March 18, at the Staffing Industry Executive Forum, Zaino will be an expert panelist for, “The Other Contingent Workers: What You Need to Know about Independent Contractors,” a session targeted to help staffing companies understand the requirements for independent contractor engagement.

Sanford Rose Associates-Cleveland East is proud to announce its partnership with national Sanford Rose Associates offices to offer personalized, affordable outplacement services to small and medium-sized companies in north and central Ohio.

Like many professionals, the changing economy has Ginni Garner, managing director of Sanford Rose Associates-Cleveland rethinking her business. As an executive search and recruitment professional, Garner spent the last 15 years helping companies find, recruit and hire talent. Today’s economy presents a different challenge. Client companies have shifted their focus from hiring and growth to cost-cutting and stability. Companies are now in a situation where they are facing staff reductions and right-sizing.

“While the lay offs and spiraling economy has been alarming, it has allowed me to examine how my business could continue to provide value to my clients and the Northeastern Ohio business community,” says Garner. “We are utilizing our years of candidate coaching, resume writing and interviewing to help displaced employees.”

Outplacement or career transition services make good business sense. First, companies can reduce their exposure to litigation. A former employee is less likely to search for a reason to sue if they are treated well when they leave the company. Second, companies will forge stronger community relations. Employees are more likely to talk favorably about a former employer if they are participating in an Outplacement program or given career assistance. In addition, employees often continue relationships with former colleagues. Positive communication will influence current employee engagement and retention.

“As my colleagues and I surveyed the market and spoke with executives who used outplacement in the past, we noticed a high cost and minimal personal attention given to the displaced employee,” notes Garner. “Our typical outplacement program costs half the price of some of the larger firms. It includes six hours of one-on-one work, and while our contracts call for three months of service, the reality is that we continue to help people indefinitely.”

SRA outplacement consultants coach and mentor displaced employees through a career evaluation and help them gain essential job search skills.

With the job market changing daily, the high volume of job losses has created a huge demand for outplacement, and Ginni Garner and Sanford Rose Associates-Cleveland East team of consultants is here to help small businesses effectively right-size their workforce.
