Industry-Space Launching Rename of Company to Real Life Recruiting

Filed under: Press Release, Job Boards — admin @ 4:13 pm

Industry-Space announced earlier this week that they are finalizing the renaming of their staffing and recruiting company. They will now officially be known as Real Life Recruiting and all of their media/Internet locations will switch along with them to their respective addresses; http://www.realliferecruiting.com/. When Frank and his co-partner Davis decided to split ways, Frank wanted to make Davis’ idea his own. “Plus, there was a lot of misconception as to what service Industry-Space provided.”

They played around with the name for a few months and, “feel the alliteration will work wonders in promoting the company.” Frank Viarra, president, says jokingly. “Hopefully the increased commotion will allow us to help a lot more people find what they are looking for when it comes to employment.”

Real Life Recruiting is a staffing and recruiting agency that helps people find great jobs and businesses find the employees they need to succeed. They pride themselves on being real people while providing first-rate services to others. Their approach is to extensively interview both sides in order to narrow down exactly what each is looking for in the other. In this way, possible matches can happen.

“Industry-Space just didn’t have the draw we needed to be successful.” Frank said of the decision to rename, “Real Life Recruiting is more descriptive of who we are as well as what we do.”

Real Life Recruiting is located in Las Vegas, NV and concentrates primarily in that area, with a few accounts in other cities across the U.S. Staying local allows them to be a leader in their field and gives them access to quality relationships with the local businesses. Even though they’ve changed their name, they’ve used the same proven process since their start in 2003.

New Toolbar Makes Quick Work of Sourcing Passive Candidates

Filed under: Sourcing, Press Release — admin @ 2:23 pm

Not every recruiter is proficient in using Boolean strings, searching the social media sites, and finding new job orders.   There are a lot of sites to keep track of, and a lot of technology to keep up with, and it takes a lot of productive time to keep looking at a Boolean cheat sheet and trying to type in your search strings in order to find valuable candidates and get your job orders filled quickly.

Recruiting Rocket has launched a new tool that makes it easy to find candidates with resume’s posted online adfadasdf, as well as in popular social media sites such as Linkedin, Plaxo, andCraigslist.   The software is a free add on to Internet Explorer that installs as a toolbar and is always available from within your web browser.

John Kaufman, developer of the software said “As an active full time recruiter, I am always looking for easy ways to accomplish more in less time.  I felt like there should be a free tool that allowed recruiters to be more effective in our daily activities, and make recruiting fun”.  Kaufman also said that even as a long time sourcing expert, use of Booleans in searching for resume’s and social media profiles can be a time consuming and inconsistent chore.

Additional features of the software allow recruiters to search multiple job boards, meta job search engines, local time search, and even do phone number lookups to find candidate’s home phone numbers.  The software can be downloaded for free at:  http://recruitingrocket.com/recruiter’s-toolbar.html

Contact John Kaufman for more insights into this topic.  Direct line: (440) 497-4304 Email: jkaufman@recruitingrocket.com Other helpful information regarding the this product or service can be found at: http://www.RecruitingRocket.com.

Recruiting executives start career counseling firm Norwood Career Advisors

Filed under: Press Release, recruiting — admin @ 2:20 pm

Recruiting firm executives Eugenia Kaneshige and Joseph Norwood have announced the formation of career counseling firm Norwood Career Advisors.

“As the employment market has rapidly changed from a candidate driven market to a company driven one, we’re excited to share our relationship development skills with many more people than we can as executive recruiters,” says Joseph Norwood, managing partner at Norwood Career Advisors.

Adds managing partner Eugenia Kaneshige, “Getting a job is all about selling yourself to a potential employer, and I’m very excited about teaching people how to do that.”

With the current unemployment rate at 8.9%, Charlotte ranks in the bottom 10% of the fifty most populous cities in the U.S.

For many years, the economic sun shone brightly on Charlotte—allowing it to bask in one of the highest growth rates in the country. One of the chief engines of that growth came from the bankers who sought to build Charlotte into a major financial center. Now, however, most Charlotteans would be surprised to learn that if they are among the ranks of the unemployed, their chances of finding a new job are statistically better in the Rust Belt than here in the Queen City.

The very personal devastation that the job losses were inflicting on their friends and neighbors provided the impetus for the formation of Norwood Career Advisors. Transplants themselves, Eugenia Kaneshige describes what had brought so many people to Charlotte, “the hope of retiring in one of the most beautiful cities in the country.”

Norwood Career Advisors is a Charlotte, NC-based career counseling firm that gives job seekers a competitive edge against the rising tide of qualified candidates that surface for every job opening. Norwood Career Advisors’ consultants are all former senior executives who also have experience as executive recruiters. They are intimately aware of the hiring trends and the processes that hiring managers employ, instilling confidence in their clients and shaving precious time off the job search process.

Real Life Recruiting Opens Doors to Public for Unprecedented Free Trial

Filed under: Press Release, recruiting — admin @ 2:19 pm

Las Vegas, NV – A local leader in the employment and staffing industry is throwing caution to the wind and opening their doors on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 to sign up job seekers and businesses alike for a one-month free trial of their services.

“It’s hard enough right now for both sides of the employment crisis, and we feel compelled to help with a jumpstart.” Said Frank Viarra, Founder and President of Real Life Recruiting, “Plus, it doesn’t hurt that in this industry, word of mouth is everything.”

A one-month trial is being offered to the first thirty people or businesses that sign up for the company’s recruiting services. “We match the kind of employees a business needs to people that are qualified to do the work, and we work to connect people to the kind of companies they aspire to work for.” Viarra explained about how Real Life Recruiting works. “It’s a waste of time for everyone to hire the wrong person.”

Real Life Recruiting works differently than the typical recruiting agency, as it provides thorough tests and interviews in order to narrow down the exact needs and abilities of both job seekers and businesses. They aim not to just put workers into jobs but to place – and keep – people into positions in which they will love and thrive.

“That’s the beauty of having placement specialists - they uncover hidden talents for people that open doors into businesses they may never have thought to explore.” Real Life Recruiting boasts an unheard of 97% satisfaction rate of both employees and businesses. And 9 out of 10 people that were placed since conception are not only still employed but exceeding in the company.

The company is based out of Las Vegas, NV and is locally connected with a majority of the businesses in the area. They have the connections you want and need when looking for a good job or employee.

Urging Against Layoffs, CEO Makes Bold Plea to Keep Employees Working

Filed under: Press Release, Human Resources — admin @ 2:31 pm

Steven Korman, CEO of Korman Communities, is making a bold plea to other CEOs to keep employees working.  And he’s putting his money where his mouth is by taking out ads to underscore the importance of dealing with real people, not just profits.  A copy of the letter/ad that has run in the Philadelphia Inquirer and The New York Times is below:

Dear CEOs:

I have listened to the executives of many companies say that they are eliminating thousands of jobs to “improve the bottom line.”

I own stock in many of these companies and would prefer that the company make a smaller profit and the stock fall, in the short term, rather than affect the lives of our neighbors and their families as jobs are lost.

Please join me in reminding all CEOs that we are not just dealing with numbers and profit, but with real people and real families who need to keep their jobs.

Please keep your employees working.

Steven H. Korman
CEO and Chairman of the Board
Korman Communities
Kormancommunities.com

Steven has received overwhelmingly positive feedback since the campaign launched last week with emails from nearly 100 people thus far.  One email read: Reading something like this gives me hope and makes me feel as if we are all in this together – from those making lots to those just getting by.  You understand that what Americans want is a chance to work, to put food on our tables and to contribute, not to be “bailed out.”  Thank you for your message.  I hope that other CEOs follow your example very soon.

Steven’s efforts go beyond this bold ad campaign.   He is taking a grassroots, aggressive approach and sending similarly-themed letters via Fed Ex to over a dozen CEOs at major corporations whose stock he owns (the likes of Apple, Exxon Mobil, GE, Google, Oracle, etc.).

Steven has been profiled in the Philadelphia Inquirer where his company is based, and interviewed in a local ABC broadcast segment.  The newspaper has been overwhelmed with reader responses calling Steve their hero, offering a renewed sense of hope, and hoping that his words will spark a trend.

This campaign and outreach comes from the heart.  Steven is someone who cares about people.  For 17 years he personally funded and staffed a van that drove around Center City Philadelphia to feed the homeless.  On Christmas Eve each year Steven goes to a toy store in an underprivileged neighborhood to see who is struggling to buy gifts and hands over cash to make opening gifts on Christmas morning a reality.   In 2007, the Steven Korman Nutrition Center opened to support MANNA, a local organization that provides nourishment to people coping with life-threatening illnesses.

Construction Staffing Agencies are Keeping Skilled Tradesmen Working in 2009

Filed under: Press Release — admin @ 3:21 pm

Construction staffing agency workers can work anywhere in the country, even against tough economic pressure and with little to no work available for the majority of Skilled Workers, Tradesmen, and Craftsmen.

For Skilled Tradesmen, finding work in the local market is impossible. To be successful in this industry you must work with a construction staffing agency who can place you anywhere in the country; this also obviously means you need to be in a position to travel.

Skilled Tradesmen and Journeymen represent the professional elite of the Commercial and Industrial construction industry. These Skilled Workers bring home up to 80k a year and are a big part of the overall construction project. Skilled Tradesmen employed with GRUS, Inc apply their skills to a wide range of projects with varying timelines for completion.

Master Electricians and Skilled Welders work on commercial and industrial projects with Grus that range from 2 weeks on upto 1 year in duration. If these Skilled Workers travel into the job for another state they can usually expert per-diem , a daily pay to cover food and lodging costs - families are welcome to come along for longer projects.

Construction Staffing Agencies are allowing these Skilled Tradesmen to maintain a working relationship with the industry they have spent their entire working lives in and around. These men and women have great pride in their work and are therefore highly sought after when a project is beginning to staff. Internet skills can help a Tradesmen find work and can also help a contractor fill much needed positions when a big job comes around. After laying off the permanent workforce these Construction Staffing Agencies receive the first call when the bid is won.
